Project HOPE is a nonprofit organization founded in 1958 and based in Millwood, VA. Project HOPE has implemented TB projects in the Central Asian Republics (CAR) for nearly 20 years, including introducing and scaling up DOTS in Kazakhstan starting in 1993. It has also held the USAID contract for the largest regional CAR TB project for the last decade. As part of its CAR work, Project HOPE recently helped develop a regional Logistic Management Information System (LMIS) currently in use in 5 countries.
Project HOPE also implements TB projects in southern Africa. In addition to its TB work, Project HOPE specializes in humanitarian assistance and health education.
